The Future’s Bright (If You Choose)

And so I find myself alone, weary, down and tired,
I look back at my past and think, another day expired.
But what have I achieved to date and what will be my plight?
And have I got the energy to carry on and fight?
My past has been a struggle, and surely it must be,
The future is more of the same, no change for you or me.
For it would take a miracle for all here to be well,
But miracles don’t happen, its just a living hell.
And as I’ve come to realise, just as these thoughts abound,
That these thoughts are just in my head, but truth, it can be found,
As suddenly from nowhere, some words of wisdom came,
And showed me an alternative, picture I can frame.
“The first thing you must know my son, is universal law,
There is no source of evil, to fear or to abhor,
All that shines upon your world, an endless source of love,
It brings well-being to all folk, to you from those above.”
“There is no source of darkness, just a source of light,
That shines and burns eternal to take away the fright,
But turn your back upon the light and darkness you will feel,
So just allow the light to shine, and joy to make you squeal.”
“You see it’s written in the stars, that use this law the same,
The rules are there for all to see, so you can play the game,
That darkness can not radiate, as, from where would it come?
All that penetrates deep space, is energy from the suns.”
“That burn bright and eternal, just like the source of love,
To fill your dreams is what we want, all those from above.”
How come I do not feel it, when I feel despair?
“You only have to look my son, look and it is there.”
“You see, if you don’t let it in, there’s nothing we can do,
For every soul, they have free will, the future’s up to you.
Turn towards the darkness, and darkness you will see,
But let us send you light and love and fill yourself with glee.”
“This leads me to the next thing, you need to know my son,
Right now you see the future, and the past, as one.
That is just because it is, the past of which you know,
And you assume the future, can no changes show.”
“So this is what you need to know, and listen very well,
For you may not believe me, though truth is what I tell,
That YOU create your future, that’s how its meant to be,
You are creative beings, YOU make your destiny.”
“For happiness, abundance, joy, it is already yours,
But will you recognise it, or focus on the flaws?
For if you focus on the fear and lack of self belief,
Then that’s exactly what you’ll get, and you’ll feel no relief.”
“But this is what you’re here to learn, that focus on the joy,
And good will come and multiply for every girl and boy,
For there are many things in life, that you cannot change,
But know that you are always safe, and nothings out of range.”
“Now visualise your future, all things you’d like to do,
And how you really want to feel, in your mind, make it true,
For as you visualise these things, it’s like a prayer that’s heard,
And these things start to flow to you, though you have said no word.”
“For as you really feel these things, your whole vibration rises,
The universe it must respond, and send you your surprises.
But note you must believe your dreams, and change the way you feel,
For if you say, but don’t believe, your vibration isn’t real.”
“And nothing will then change for you, you’ll say “I told you so”,
Its only that you haven’t grasped, the way that good can flow.
So visualise, all the good, that you can believe,
This becomes much easier, once good things you receive.”
So do I understand you right? That, if I think the same,
The thoughts cause my vibration, so the future cannot change?
So if change my thoughts from fear, and anger, to hope and love,
I then create my future, supported from above?
“That’s right my son, you can bring joy, to you and others too!
The possibilities are endless, of what then you can do.”
And now my mind is buzzing, with all I can achieve,
And all that can flow to my life, once I plant the seed.
And where then will it lead to? And what I can create?
What changes I can really make, to my mind, my life, my state.
And now I know I cannot fail, I’m safe and I’m protected,
And if I’m stuck like this again, on lack and dark, reflected.
I simply need to turn myself to face the shining light,
And recognise the chance I have for futures that are bright,
And visualise it happening, as if it is today,
And watch it then materialise, new things will come my way.
And now I fully understand, the power that is mine,
To change, create and influence, to all things that are fine,
Now I know I cannot fail, for the universe provides,
All that I choose to create, the darkness or the light.
The light is what I choose today, the light is what I see,
The healing and abundance, that truly set us free,
The laughter and the merriment, that lift our spirits high,
The knowledge that I’m safe and loved, all challenges survive.
And now I have excitement, at what I can create,
For nothings truly out of bounds, or locked behind a gate,
For as I visualise all things, that I can receive,
And as I make it really real, so I can well believe.
My whole vibration rises, and the universe responds,
It sends me things I dream of, now my barriers are gone,
Circumstances around me change, and now these things I see,
And I can start to let them in, as now I do believe.
But hang on just a minute, what’s this I feel? It’s guilt!
Dosen’t this make me selfish, to have all things at will?
“Ah, that is the next thing, that you must understand,
The same rules that apply to you, are there for all, at hand.”
“As you allow yourself to dream, its OK to desire!
You will feel uplifted, and energised much higher,
And so you have the strength and will, to help your fellow man,
And lead him to the truth you’ve found, take him by the hand.”
“And help him understand these words, that all this can be his,
That he, too, is as worthy, to live a life of bliss.
So guilt will only do one thing, it serves to bring you down.
You can help no earthly soul, when all you do is frown.”
OK, I think I get it, I truly can be free.
No guilt or shame to burden, no barriers for me.
But only optimism, possibilities abound.
And now you’ll have to try real hard, to keep me on the ground!
